Why choosing an armrest at your desk?

For many computer users, an armrest can be a real gamechanger. It often happens that the armrests of a standard office chair cannot be adjusted close to the body. You then have to sit extra wide, as it were, to experience support while typing. Rather uncomfortable, so people tend to put their arms on their desktop. But unfortunately, that quickly leads to a bent posture which can cause overlaid and pain.

Additional support

By attaching an extra support to your desk, your forearms are optimally supported. This ensures a healthy, straight posture with relaxed shoulders and arms close to the body, even when working standing up. Moreover, an armrest can be of help with a shallow, small desk. With an armrest, you create more distance to your monitor, which is more comfortable to work with. This reduces eye strain and therefor can prevent headaches.

Several versions

Apart from a regular armrest – which consists of one piece with a stomach recess – there are also armrests consisting of two separate parts. The main advantage of two separate parts is that you can adjust the armrest perfectly to your body. So that no matter how wide or narrow you are you can always have your arms supported optimally close to your body.

Also important

To be able to type and mouse comfortably and healthily relaxed, it is important that an armrest is soft by a padding of, for example, soft foam. Furthermore, many armrests are asymmetrical with the right one being longer than the left-this is because most people operate the mouse with their right hand. The R-Go Armrests are deliberately designed symmetrically: thus also useful for left-handed people and for anyone who wants to alternate ergonomically operating their mouse with right and left hands.
